Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson heeft een rol gekregen in de verfilming van de Hanna-Barbera-animatieserie The Adventures of Jonny Quest. The Rock zal te zien zijn als special agent en bodyguard Race Bannon, die de elfjarige Jonny Quest en zijn vader vergezelt op hun avonturen. Highschool Musicals Zac Efron wordt genoemd voor de titelrol. De regie is in handen van Andy Fickman (Race to Witch Mountain).
Het script schijnt zo goed te zijn, dat The Rock de rol niet weigeren kon. I don't know if you've read the latest [draft] but it's awesome and it's badass and I haven't read, this is what I told everyone over at Warner Bros., and I love the studio too by the way, you know, I had my experience with them with Get Smart and they were great, I hadn't read an action script like that in a LONG time. And that action was unbelievable. That will happen.
