Fox heeft onderstaande synopsis vrijgegeven van Ridley Scotts supergeheime sci-fi project Prometheus. De film bevat hoofdrollen voor o.a. Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba en Charlize Theron.

The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.

Daarnaast bericht Joblo dat Ben Foster is toegevoegd aan de cast, maar het is nog onduidelijk om wat voor rol het hier gaat. Prometheus is vanaf 8 juni 2012 in de Amerikaanse bioscopen te zien. Een Nederlandse releasedatum moet nog geprikt worden.
