Zojuist zijn de Oscarnominaties voor de 91ste editie van het bekende prijzengala bekendgemaakt. De Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences maakte de genomineerden bekend via een livestream.

Er zijn hierbij geen grote verrassingen. De welbekende films Joker, The Irishman, Marriage Story, 1917, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood en Parasite pakken de meeste nominaties. Robert de Niro valt buiten de boot bij de categorie Beste Acteur.

Uncut Gems
Uncut Gems, waarvan werd verwacht dat de film nominaties in de wacht zou slepen, werd niet genomineerd. Ook het feit dat The Lighthouse maar een nominatie ontvangt, stoot veel filmliefhebbers tegen de borst.

Over de Oscar uitreiking

De uitreiking van de Oscars vindt op zondag 9 februari plaats in het Dolby Theatre te Los Angeles. In Nederland wordt de uitreiking van deze prestigieuze filmprijzen niet live op tv uitgezonden. De uitreiking heeft dit jaar geen presentator, maar zal door middel van voice over aan elkaar worden gepraat.
