Met live-action serie The Mandalorian hebben ze namelijk goud in handen. Zodanig zelfs dat fans van de serie Disney en Lucasfilm nu oproepen om showrunner Jon Favreau en regisseur Dave Filoni de kans de franchise te leiden te geven.
Franchise leiden
De twee makers wisten vooral te overtuigen met de aflevering van anderhalve week geleden waarin Ahsoka Tano haar live-action debuut maakte. Zij is de oud-leerlinge van Anakin Skywalker en sloeg een heel eigen apd in. Na jaren in animatievorm, werd ze nu voor het eerst in live-action gespeeld door Rosario Dawson.
En dat debuut beviel fans zo goed, dat ze hopen op meer. Sterker nog, gezien onderstaande reacties op sociale media, lijkt het erop dat zij zomaar eens meer zouden willen zien.

I like Jon Favreau, I think he has Star Wars' best interests at heart, but I think he should be in more of an executive role. If this latest episode of The Mandalorian has taught me anything, it's that I MUCH prefer Dave Filoni's writing. I'd love to see Jon take over for KK.
