Via de website Bleeding Cool krijgen we een nieuwe blik op de cast van The Avengers. Hieronder is een afbeelding te zien die door Marvel Comics gebruikt zal gaan worden voor de cover van de comic "Road to the Avengers", waarin strips zijn opgenomen naar aanleiding van de eerdere Marvel films rond de superhelden Iron Man en Captain America en de Agents S.H.I.E.L.D., die onder leiding staan van Nick Fury.
De Marvel Studios superheldenfilm The Avengers van regisseur Joss Whedon (Serenity, 2005) gaat op 3 mei 2012 in de Nederlandse filmtheaters in première.
De officiële synopsis van "Road to the Avengers" luidt:
