DreamWorks Animation heeft vandaag bekendgemaakt dat de zomerblockbuster Kung Fu Panda 2 tot nu toe wereldwijd $650 miljoen heeft opgebracht. Jennifer Yuh Nelson wordt daarmee de meest winstgevende vrouwelijke regisseur van een film aan de wereldwijde box office.

Voor ze met Kung Fu Panda 2 haar regiedebuut maakte, werkte Nelson al mee aan het eerste deel, als verhaalverantwoordelijke en regisseur van de droomsequenties. Eerder werkte ze bij Dreamworks ook al mee aan het verhaal van Madagascar, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas en Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.
