Website Empire Online had een interview met acteur Vin Diesel en regisseur David Twohy, die momenteel in de schijnwerpers staan met The Chronicles of Riddick, de opvolger van Pitch Black.

Ondanks het feit dat de film het nog niet heel erg goed doet wat opbrengsten betreft (de film kostte 105 miljoen dollar en bracht tot nu toe zo'n 67 miljoen op), zien de mannen een derde film over de gezochte crimineel Richard B. Riddick.
