Via een officieel persbericht heeft Sony Pictures de casting van de nieuwe Spider-Man wereldkundig gemaakt. Het blijkt dat we het gisteren niet bij het juiste eind hadden met Josh Hutcherson, aangezien nu blijkt dat Sony en regisseur Marc Webb hebben gekozen voor de acteur Andrew Garfield. Hij moet de jonge Peter Parker / Spider-Man gaan spelen in de Spider-Man Reboot die op 2 juli 2012 moet uitkomen.
