Hoewel Clash of the Titans eerder dit jaar een grote hit was aan de bioscoopkassa's, waren de reacties van de critici op de film vernietigend, met name als het ging om de 3D conversie van de film.

Nu erkent hoofdrolspeler Sam Worthington dat deze critici het bij het juiste eind hadden in hun stelling dat Clash of the Titans een erg slechte film was. In een interview met Moviefone, zei Worthington het volgende: I think the first one, we kind of let down some people. I think I can act f***ing better, to be honest.

Worthington voegde eraan toe dat het tweede deel, Wrath of the Titans die eind volgend jaar in de bioscopen moet verschijnen, een stuk beter zal zijn. What we're setting out to do with this one -- the writers and the director and myself -- is improve. Just take all the notes from people that I have been reading about on the 'net and give them a movie they f***ing want. This one I want to kind of try to satisfy a lot more people.
