Eerder deze maand meldden we al dat Bruce Willis in gesprek was om de rol van General Joe Colton, de allereerste G.I. Joe, te spelen in G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation van regisseur Jon Chu (Step Up 3D). Via Twitter heeft Dwayne Johnson, die het personage Roadblock speelt, bevestigd dat Willis zich heeft aangesloten bij de opnames, die onlangs zijn gestart.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson op zijn twitter-pagina:

"Welcome brother Bruce Willis to the cast of G.I. Joe! What an honor."

Willis sluit zich aan bij namen als Channing Tatum (Duke), Ray Park (Snake Eyes), Elodie Yung (Jinx), DJ Cotrona (Flint), Adrianne Palicki (Lady Jaye), RZA (The Blind Master), Joseph Mazzello (Mouse), Ray Stevenson (Firefly) en waarschijnlijk Byung-hun Lee als Storm Shadow. G.I. Joe 2 moet 29 juni 2012 in de bioscoop verschijnen.
