- The film starts with Tess (Julia Roberts) being forced into a limo and having a 'talk' with Benedict (Andy Garcia) who basically threatens that he'll send Danny (George Clooney) to prison.

- Benedict and his goons, the 'Power Twins' , reassemble the gang and Danny and co. head off to Amsterdam for their first heist whilst Danny tries to figure out a way to get Benedict off his back

- The first heist is stealing the 'Vanderspeigle Getuigschrift', the first stock certificate ever issued to any company (in this case the Dutch East India Trading Company). The trouble is its locked in the maximum security four-storey canal house of an agoraphobic millionaire - thus he's always home.

- One of the new characters is Isabel Lahiri, a driven Europol agent called in to investigate the Vanderspeigle theft although the actual answer to how it was pulled off is a little more complicated than expected.

- The other major new character is a Frenchman simply called 'Dinner Jacket'.

- The action moves to Rome where the main heist of the movie is planned - the theft of Carl Faberge's famous 1896 'Coronation Egg' from the Vatican, a prize no thief in history has come even close to stealing. [/eng]
