Regisseur Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill) heeft met Pierce Brosnan gesproken over een verfilming van Casino Royale als Brosnans vijfde en laatste Bond-film. Tarantino zou graag zien dat producers Michael G. Wilson en Barbara Broccoli de huidige Bond-formule, waarin enorme dure sets en stunts de films bepalen, voor even opzij schuiven.
