Warner Bros. Pictures heeft vandaag bekendgemaakt wat de titel van de opvolger van Batman Begins wordt. De film, wederom geregisseerd door Christopher Nolan (Memento), verschijnt in 2008 in de bioscopen als The Dark Knight, en daarin zal Christian Bale het als Batman opnemen tegen The Joker. Die rol werd ook onthuld en gaat, zoals we onlangs al meldden, inderdaad naar Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain).

Nolan: "I'm excited to continue the story we started with Batman Begins. Our challenge in casting The Joker was to find an actor who is not just extraordinarily talented but fearless. Watching Heath Ledger's interpretation of this iconic character taking on Christian Bale's Batman is going to be incredible."
