Website IGN kreeg van een van haar lezers een interessant bericht. Regisseur Rob Cohen schijnt gezegd te hebben dat Jet Lit de leider van een grote groep aarden mummies zal spelen in The Mummy 3, die in 2008 moet verschijnen.

"He confirmed that Jet Li will play the Mummy in The Mummy 3, which he is directing. He also said that the film will take place in China and Michelle Yeoh will also be in the film.
