Harrison Ford heeft in een interview met People.com een tipje van de sluier opgelicht m.b.t. de huidige status van Indiana Jones 5.
"the story for the new Indiana Jones is in the process of taking form. Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at work. If the script is good, I'll be very happy to put the costume on again."
Ondanks dat er wereldwijd niet al te enthousiast werd gereageerd op de vierde film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, liegt de opbrengst er niet om. Tot nu toe heeft de film bijna $800 miljoen dollar opgebracht. Genoeg redenen voor deel 5 dus (en 6/7/8...?).
