The Los Angeles Times sprak onlangs met Twilight producent Wyck Godfrey over de adaptatie van het vierde Twilight boek Breaking Dawn van schrijfster Stephenie Meyer. Aangezien het derde deel, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse eind juni dit jaar in première gaat, zoekt de Godfrey naar mogelijkheden om dit vierde deel op te nemen.

Bovenstaande vormt voor Godfrey en zijn team het grootste probleem. Ze weten niet hoe ze moeten omgaan met het personage Renesmee. Over het tot leven wekken van het personage Renesmee zegt producent Godfrey: "It's certainly going to be visual effects in some capacity along with an actor. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being a full CG creation, but it also may be a human shot on a soundstage that then is used to shrink down."
Als oplossing voor het uitgebreide verhaal ziet Godfrey de mogelijkheid om twee films over het vierde boek te maken: "The issue [of whether there will be one or two movies] is not going to be resolved until we get the full treatment and see whether it's organic. It really has to do with how much level of detail from the books there is, with all of these new vampires that appear in 'Breaking Dawn,' the whole section about Jacob... It's a very long single movie if it does become a single movie."
The Twilight Saga: New Moon leverde wereldwijd $685 miljoen op. Het derde deel Eclipse komt in Nederland op 1 juli uit. Breaking Dawn moet in 2011 uitkomen.
