Tijdens een interview op de rode loper voor de Independent Spirit Awards 2011, ging acteur Mark Ruffalo in op zijn rol als de Hulk in The Avengers. Eerder was al bekend gemaakt dat de acteur de rol met behulp van motion capture technologie zal spelen.

"It's cool, it's gonna be great. The script is a nice combination of funny and was very in Joss Whedon's wheelhouse. And I got to see the maquette of the Hulk yesterday in full scope and it's awesome. Just like me. We're going out of our way to... first of all, I'm the first actor to actually do it in motion capture as the Hulk. And so, all the features are mine, they're just really big."

The Avengers moet vanaf 3 mei 2012 in de Nederlandse bioscopen draaien. Voordat het zover is kunnen we nog genieten van Thor en Captain America: The First Avenger, die op 28 april en 21 juli 2011 uitkomen.
