Een opmerkelijk bericht vandaag op Ain't It Cool News. Tijdens een vraag- en antwoordsessie op de Performing Arts University in Londen met Keanu Reeves, vertelt hij dat de gebroeders Wachowski een script hebben geschreven voor The Matrix 4 & 5. De 46-jarige acteur, die hoofdpersonage Neo speelde in de eerste drie delen, werd hiervan op de hoogte gebracht door de broers tijdens een lunch afgelopen kerst. Bovendien zouden de Wachowski's met Avatar-regisseur James Cameron hebben gesproken om de voor- en nadelen van The Matrix in 3D te bespreken.

- Says he met the Wachowski's (no emphasis on the word brothers), for lunch over Christmas and stated that they had completed work on a two picture script treatment that would see him return to the world of the matrix as Neo. Says the brothers have met with Jim Cameron to discuss the pro's and con's of 3D and are looking to deliver something which has never been seen again. keanu stated that he still has an obligation to the fans to deliver a movie worthy of the title "The Matrix" and he swears this time that the treatment will truly revolutionise the action genre like the first movie. Wachowski's are working on a movie called "Cloud Atlas" at the moment, once that concludes they will talk again.

Het eerste deel van sciencefictionfilm The Matrix kwam uit in 1999 was gelijk een klassieker. Opvolgers The Matrix Reloaded en The Matrix Revolutions uit 2003 werden echter door de meeste critici de grond in geschreven.
