Eindelijk weer eens wat nieuws over Ridley Scotts supergeheime project Prometheus. Allereerst is bekend geworden dat ontwerper Neville Page momenteel bezig is met concept art en kostuums voor de film die ooit begon als Alien prequel. Eerder werkte Page aan films als Avatar, Cloverfield, Star Trek, Tron: Legacy, Green Lantern en The Amazing Spider-Man.

Verder sprak hoofdrolspeler Michael Fassbender met Metro New York over Prometheus. Hij zei het volgende over de connectie van de film met Scotts Alien (1979):

The thing is, it’s not a prequel. It definitely is separate. It is a separate story, but there are threads that connect the stories.

Ook ging hij in op de betekenis van Prometheus:

Well Prometheus is basically a Greek god that stole fire from the gods so that he could give humans equal footing with them. And then he got sort of tied up to a tree or rock and then an eagle comes down and eats his liver each day and it regrows and he eats it, regrows so figure it out. How can you tie that into space?
