In Bubba Ho-Tep is te zien wat er werkelijk is gebeurd met Elvis Presley: hij zit als oude man in een bejaardentehuis nadat hij vlak voor zijn 'dood' van identiteit heeft gewisseld met een Elvis-imitator. Samen met Jack, die er van overtuigd is John F. Kennedy te zijn, gaat hij de strijd aan met een oude Egyptische mummy die het tehuis onveilig maakt. Bruce Campbell, bekend als Ash uit de Evil Dead reeks, speelt in Bubba Ho-Tep de bejaarde King of Rock & Roll.
