Roger Mitchell bedankte onlangs voor de eer, maar nu is er dan toch eindelijk een regisseur gevonden voor de 22e Bond-film: Marc Forster (Stranger Than Fiction, Monster's Ball, Finding Neverland), wiens naam al rondging in het geruchtencircuit. De nieuwe film over de Britse geheim agent moet in november 2008 in de bioscopen draaien.
