MTV sprak onlangs met regisseur en producent David Goyer over het vervolg op de Marvel comicverfilming Ghost Rider. Hij zegt dat het "not exactly a reboot" wordt en dat de film 8 jaar later afspeelt dan de eerste film. De opnames beginnen hoogstwaarschijnlijk in 2010.

Goyer: "I hate to say it's more realistic, because he's got a flaming skull for a head, but it's a bit more stripped down and darker. It's definitely changing tone. What 'Casino Royale' was to the Bond movies, hopefully this will be to 'Ghost Rider.'"
