Het is je waarschijnlijk niet ontgaan dat Pixars grootste concurrent DreamWorks Animation veel meer films uitgeeft dan Pixar zelf. Sinds 1998 produceerde DreamWorks 24 avondvullende animatiefilms uit tegenover de in totaal 13 van Pixar, sinds 1995. Tot en met de zomer van 2016 voegt DreamWorks nog eens 12 titels toe aan de lange lijst, aangezien de studio elk jaar minimaal drie nieuwe animatiefilms lanceert. De nieuwe distributiepartner Twentieth Century Fox gaf een lijstje vrij met de titels en releasedata.
