Noomi Rapace heeft het één en ander naar buiten gebracht over haar personage, de wetenschapper Elizabeth Shaw, in Ridley Scotts Prometheus. Empire sprak met de Millennium actrice tijdens de Jameson Empire Awards. Rapace zei het volgende over haar rol:

"She’s not that damaged which for me is kind of nice. She has an inner strength that is quite beautiful and a pureness too. She’s very obsessed with finding out something."

Is Prometheus te spiegelen aan de psychologische horror van Alien?

“Yes, kind of. What I like so much about the Alien movies is that they’re out there in space and it’s weird, but the characters are very human and very down to earth. That’s what Ridley created and that’s who he is, and I think we’ll probably see that again on this one."

Op de vraag of Rapace nog gaat toekomen aan David Slade's nieuwe vampierenfilm The Last Voyage Of Demeter, reageert ze als volgt.

"I do hope I can do it but I don't know. I’m occupied until late July or August."

Tot slot de vraag wat ze na Prometheus zal gaan doen.

"For the moment I don’t want to decide what to do next. I think I’d like to do something quite small."

Prometheus staat in de VS gepland voor 8 juni 2012.
