Eerder deze maand meldden we dat Ian Flemings korte verhaal Risico wellicht gebruikt zou worden voor de volgende James Bond film die in 2008 moet verschijnen. Scriptschrijvers Robert Wade en Neal Purvis lieten in een interview echter weten dat dat absoluut niet het geval zal zijn. Daarbij deelden de heren mee dat personages als Q en Moneypenny ook in de volgende film nog niet aan bod zullen komen.

He may say 'The name’s Bond, James Bond' but there’s still a lot of stuff churning up inside him. So, if you’re going to explore that, and we’ve got this great actor to do that with, what you don’t want to do is suddenly clamp it down with all these familiar elements that keep your focus off him. He’s the great asset."
